When Sam and I started Bettercup, we knew local manufacturing would be an important point of difference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But here\u2019s the truth: we didn\u2019t come from manufacturing backgrounds, so it was quite<\/em> the undertaking to figure it all out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll never forget ringing around to work out where to start and getting laughed at down the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy would you bother?\u201d some man on the phone said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, look who\u2019s laughing now! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Figuring out how to manufacture locally took time, persistence, and a lot of investment. But it\u2019s been worth every bit of effort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, most of our products\u2014like our tumblers<\/strong><\/a> and tasters<\/strong><\/a>\u2014are made just 200m down the road from our HQ in Keysborough, and we\u2019ve recently tooled up with brand-new manufacturing capabilities to launch something very<\/em> exciting: an Melbourne-made product that we\u2019ll officially unveil in January (keep your eyes peeled!).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By producing locally, we\u2019re cutting emissions that come with international transport. Our HQ is right near our manufacturing facility, meaning we save big on fuel consumption and transport miles. With international freight contributing around 30% of transport-related<\/a> emissions globally, keeping things close to home is one small but impactful way we\u2019re tackling carbon footprints.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Manufacturing locally means we\u2019re contributing directly to the economy, creating jobs, and supporting small businesses.
